Elegant Holiday Weddings

If you’re planning a holiday wedding a little advanced preparation can create the perfect wedding in the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle.

Red flowers and boughs of pine with white ribbon decorate the pews of the church.

Don't forget to take advantage of the Black Friday and After-Christmas Sales!

You may think after-Christmas sales are limited to buying that sweater your sister didn't get you. But when you're wedding planning, you can get some real bargains. Now is the time to pick up strands of lights for decorating your reception hall, and candles for the tables. Look for chocolates wrapped in red foil for favors, or using in out-of-town welcome bags.

Decorations adorn the tree behind the bridal table creating a colorful display.

Nikki & Nick's North Shore Engagement Session

Nikki and Nick's North Shore Engagement Session began at Heinz Field with Nikki sitting on Mr. Roger's statue.

It had been foggy the morning of our session, but as the fog lifted Nikki danced a jig!

Nikki and Nick are avid Steeler fans waving their Terrible Towels!

We took some time out to play some football!

They love the Steelers almost as much as they love each other!

Additional shots around North Shore.

Heather & David Beechwood Farms Engagement Photo Session

Beechwood Farms on Dorseyville Road in Fox Chapel was the setting for Heather and David's Engagment session. Heather wanted fall colors in their photos, but fall is coming just a bit late this year.
We missed the colorful orange and reds, but we were cerainly right on with the fun, excitement and passion that they gave for their photos.

I thought for sure they were going to fall in the water.

All of Heather and David's photos will be available shortly at:

Meghan and Jonathan's Pittsburgh Wedding

Megan met DGM Photography by David Gerard at the bridal show at the LeMont last year.  Because Megan worked in town, she was very familiar with the urban environment and historical district of the city.  She had a specific look in mind for her wedding photos.

The “Getting Ready” pictures were taken at Megan’s parent’s home in Greenfield.  Megan’s father was so excited as he helped his daughter put on her shoes.  The limo came to pick up the bridal party.

Having done her homework, Megan provided samples of the types of photo journalistic style she was looking for and a list of “must have shots” to be taken throughout the day.  Prior to the wedding, DGM went into Pittsburgh to identify appropriate backdrops for the various photo stops.  Having done this prior to the wedding day allowed for the appropriate transition to occur between locations.   As they arrived at each stop, the bridal party was able to enjoy each site, pose for the pictures and return the reception in a timely fashion.

From the Market District, O’Reilly Theater, Alleyways and City Park locations  - Megan, Jonathan and their bridal party had a great time having their pictures taken throughout Pittsburgh.

The bridal party arrived at the Westin William Penn to celebrate their wedding day with friends and family.  By early evening all were watching a slide show of various pictures taken throughout the day on an eight-foot screen.

Approximately 300 guests arrived to celebrate the wedding of Megan and Jonathan.  DGM Photography provided two photo booths for the reception at the Westin William Penn.   The 2 photo booths offered entertainment for the guests while the bridal party was having their pictures taken throughout Pittsburgh.

DGM Photography by David Gerard captured Megan and Jonathan’s special moments and they will treasure these memories for a lifetime.
