WEDDING CLICKER’S BRIDAL SHOW - CONSOL ENERGY

If you are attending the Wedding Clickers Bridal Show on July 31st at Consol Energy Center see another side of DGM Photography.   Visit the youth hockey section and check out DGM Photography’s action sports photography featured on a 135 ft. by10 ft. banner.   DGM Photography is recognized as a premier youth sports photographer in Pittsburgh.  We were asked by the design team from the Consol Energy Arena to provide photographs for a large scrim in the youth hockey section.

Last week we talked about Action and Reaction and I contribute the success of my wedding photography to years of photographing youth sports in the Pittsburgh area. Sports photography taught me to there were two parts to the picture - the action of the athlete and the reaction of the crowd.

ACTION AND REACTION - The Value of Two!

What is the value of having two photographers at your wedding?  To capture the action of the moment, but also capturing the reaction of the guests requires two photographers.  Every one knows how cute the flower girl and ring bearer are when walking down the aisle before the ceremony, but how many photographers focus on the guests' reaction as they watch the flower girl and ring bearer come down the aisle.

The photographer is focused on the bride and her father entering the church.  DGM Wedding Photography uses a second photographer to capture the groom's reaction as he sees his bride for the first time. WOW what an emotional moment!

Imagine if there was only one photographer at the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.  Those famous hats, the crowd’s reaction to the kiss, and so many special moments might have been lost.

If you look at www.theroyalweddingwilliamkate.com, they’re asking for viewers to upload their photos and explain where you were and how you spent the day of the Royal Wedding.  The best photos will be chosen for the royal wedding album.  Imagine how many photographers they with will have providing reaction photos of the event!

Stop by the DGM Photography Booth at Station Square on Sunday June 24th from 11-4:30 at the Cavanaugh Bridal show www.brideshow.com or Sunday, July 31 from 11-5 at Consol Energy Center for the Wedding Clickers Bridal Show http://weddingclickers.com and receive Up To $300 off our photo booth rental for weddings.

Receive $100 off if the photo booth is rented as a stand-alone rental, and a discount of $300 if rented with a wedding photography package.

Take some ACTION and book today so there’s no REACTION when our availability is filled and you miss out!  Offer good through August 31st 2011.

DGM Photography - Clarion University/Brianne and Corey Engaged!

As summer has gone - it's been relatively sunny.  Recent grads, Brianne and Corey met at Clarion University and that was the setting they chose for their engagement shoot.  We began our shoot on campus and midway through the shoot it began to rain.  We took a dinner break, ate at the Captain Loomis, the restaurant/bar where Brianne and Corey met.  The rain stopped and we took some shots in town and returned to campus to finish.  Many of the backdrops seen in their pictures have significant meanings for the couple.

Cory is an avid golfer and he is sharing his love of the game with the love of his life Brianne!  The couple will be married on July 21, 2012 at  St. Mary's Church in New Kennsington with the reception being held at the Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel.

Congratulations Brianne and Corey!

Wedding Themes

Not all weddings have the classical look.  Many couples choose a unique approach to their wedding.  For some, a destination wedding complete with a beach backdrop and beautiful sunset is the answer.
Reasons couples choose their wedding styles are based on their interests, family traditions, and unique taste in what they want their special day to look like.
The Knot - a wedding website,  provides ideas for modern, outdoor, vintage, rustic, vineyard and offbeat weddings.  From churches to vineyards and barns, you can customize a look that fits your style.  When creating a theme for your wedding, consider how your decorations, backdrop settings, favors, and attire will look in your pictures from the day.
Your photographs should also feature some of the backdrops of what makes you as a couple special.  For example the groom loved his pickup truck and country living so their pictures included both.

Share your unique wedding plans or special backdrop for your pictures.
