No doubt there are many wedding moments
you won't want to miss. There are typical pictures of the bride, groom and
their bridal parties getting dressed.
DGM Photography by David Gerard looks at the couple and what they
represent. These pictures tell the
story. For instance, in this
particular wedding, the bride and groom were professional police and firefighter. Pictures of a dress, shoes and rings
are part of the story.
The best way to ensure your
photographer captures the right moments for all posterity is to discuss a
suggested shot list. Your photographer will know the best method to incorporate
your wishes into creating memories of your wedding day.
Some things to consider…..
- Bride's clothes hanging on the wardrobe, on the bedpost, or over a chair
- Shoes, rings, background of color
- Full-length shot of bride in gown checking herself out in mirror
- Detail of clothing, shoes, garter, something borrowed, something blue
- Bride and groom separately making their way to the ceremony (in a limo backseat, hailing a cab, walking down the street/hall/stairs)
The photo-journalistic style of each
photographer is different, but sharing your story about who you are will allow
your photographer to be creative in his poses of both people and items from
your day.
Share with us what makes you different.
